SNOWPLOWING REMINDERS

A REMINDER TO CURRENT RESIDENTS AND INFORMATION FOR NEW RESIDENTS

The City of Cologne snow ordinances:
Remember there is NO PARKING of any vehicle/trailers/etc. on any street with a snowfall of 2 inches or more until plows have fully cleared the streets curb to curb. This ordinance is strictly enforced with ticketing and/or towing.
Plowing or shoveling snow back onto the street is prohibited.

FIRE HYDRANT: If there is a fire hydrant on your property it is your responsibility to keep a 3ft area cleared around it.

GARBAGE CANS: Must be located BEHIND the curb on your property, do NOT place them on the road. Snow plows are not responsible for any tipped over or damaged cans left in front of the curb. (this also includes basketball hoops and trailers)

We THANK YOU for doing your part in helping us get the roads cleared and passible in a timely fashion during snow events.

NOTE: If you need off road parking during a snow event, you may TEMPORARILY park in the City Square lot by the splash park, Marion Fields Park parking lot, or the new lot by Winkler Park.

Again, this is temporary parking until your road is cleared, no permanent parking is allowed.

Wishing all residents a safe and healthy winter season.
