Citizens With Courage
”A house divided against itself cannot stand.”
-Abraham Lincoln
Today’s polarization is increased by how we talk about, and how we talk with, those on the other side. Too often, we stereotype, make fun of, and denigrate our fellow citizens who support the other political party, its leaders, and its policies.
This free workshop teaches:
- How we can be more aware of our own “inner polarizer”
- How to challenge without attacking, dismissing or disrespecting those we don’t agree with
- Strategies for shifting a conversation to avoid contempt and ridicule of those with seemingly opposing political views.
- How to practice together and take action to depolarize ourselves and our community
