It has been brought to the City’s attention that a large number of cats have been running at large.
Just as it is for dogs, cats running at large is prohibited. Cats need to be kept indoors or leashed. As a pet owner it is your responsibility to make sure this ordinance is followed and your pets stay on your property.
Homeowners that do not want cats on their property can contact a shelter to have at large cats trapped and brought away. Most animal control places do not take domestic animals and will refer the homeowner to contact a shelter.
