Healthy Aging Month Offers Resources & Webinars
September is Healthy Aging Month, a time to celebrate the positive aspects of aging and explore ways to enhance the wellbeing of older individuals. Healthy aging encompasses maintaining and improving physical, mental, spiritual, financial, and social health.
The University of Minnesota Extension Department of Family, Health, and Wellbeing invites anyone who is aging and those who support people who are aging to learn more about Healthy Aging Month, resources available, and to participate in one or more of the sixteen free webinars covering topics such as health care directives, transferring non-titled property, medicine cabinet safety, healthy eating, the future of rural housing supply, clean energy as we age, reframing from ageism to age-friendly, intergenerational transfer of wealth, and mental health.
Visit the UMN Extension Healthy Aging web page to access resources and to register for the free webinars. For more information, contact a member of the UMN Extension Department of Family, Health, and Wellbeing Later Life Issues team: Sam Roth – sroth@umn.edu; Anita Harris Hering – aharris@umn.edu;
